This course consists of 4 parts
First Part which is "Journey into Microbiology & the Power of Antibiotics". This part designed to deepen the learner's knowledge on the basics of microbiology, different classes of antibiotics, the classification and dosing of antibiotics, the spectrum of the major classes of antibiotics and the role of antibiotics in disease prophylaxis.
Second Part which is "From ears to lungs understanding ENT and chest infections". This part of the course is an overview of respiratory tract infections. The course discusses the classification, definitions, symptoms, and the management of upper & lower respiratory tract infections. Furthermore, the course reviews the definition, pathophysiology, and management of COPD exacerbation.
Third Part which is "Gastrointestinal tract infections skin and soft tissue infections". This part of the course is an overview of gastrointestinal tract infections, as well as skin and soft tissue infections. The course discusses the classification, definitions, symptoms, and management of gastrointestinal infections. Furthermore, the course highlights wound infections, glander, and cat scratch disease.
Fourth part which is "Intertwined pathways unraveling utis and sexually transmitted infection". This part of the course is an overview of Urinary tract infections; including the definition, pathogenesis, risk factors, classification, and prevalence of urinary tract infections. It demonstrates the management of uncomplicated cystitis, uncomplicated pyelonephritis, and complicated UTIs.
Furthermore, this part reviews the definition, types, prevalence, symptoms, and management of prostatitis in addition to highlighting the definition, pathophysiology, and management of sexually transmitted urethritis.
